Pre-Conference Leadership Forum

Introduction
Each year, APAMSA hosts its Pre-Conference Leadership Forum (PCLF) on the day prior to the main Saturday events of the National Conference. The PCLF provides an opportunity to build leadership skills and interact with leaders as well as fellow students who aspire to leadership. Many APAMSA national officers, chapter members and officers, and community attendees have trained through the PCLF.

We hope you’ll join us for the Pre-Conference Leadership Forum. Please additionally check off the PCLF when completing the main registration for the National Conference if you wish to attend.

The Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) was created based on psychological type theory of personality which was developed by Swiss psychiatrist Carl G. Jung. Type theory is used to describe the normal differences between healthy people. Based on his observations, Jung concluded that differences in behavior result from people's inborn tendencise to use their minds in different ways. As people act on these tendencies, they develop patterns of behavior.

This session will allow participants to complete the MBTI and participate in their own personality hypothesis building. Through this session each individual will gain insight into their own personality type and how it impacts their leadership preferences.
