Welcome

The Asian Pacific American Medical Student Association (APAMSA) chapters at the Johns Hopkins University, University of Maryland, and Georgetown University Schools of Medicine are proud to host:

The 17th APAMSA National Conference
Navigating Medicine’s Next Frontier
October 15-17, 2010
Baltimore, MD

Navigation (noun): the process of altering the movement of a vehicle from one place to another.

This year’s national conference seeks to address both obvious and sometimes neglected issues pertinent to the health and well-being of Asian American and Pacific Islander communities including cultural awareness, advocacy and policy, health care access, establishing community clinics, domestic violence, mental health, hepatitis B, and bone marrow typing. The conference will give attendees the opportunity to engage in dialogue with health professionals working on AAPI health issues, and provide a forum for collaboration among student leaders from around the country. Ultimately, we hope to equip the future leaders of medicine with the tools they need to meet the health needs of the AAPI communities.
