Fourth Annual National Hepatitis B Meeting | October 31, 2009 Boston, MA

The fourth annual APAMSA HepB conferencein Boston, MA educated, inspired, and empowered medical students with the tools they will need to conduct successful HepB outreach events. Hepatitis B is a devastating disease that deeply affects our communities. Despite having higher effective prevention methods and treatments, the prevalence of Hepatitis B is much higher among Asian Americans compared to the rest of the country. As APAMSA members and physicians-in-training, we have the unique responsibility to reach out to underprivileged individuals in our society, to help them overcome language barriers, and to educate them in an effective and culturally sensitive manner.
