We are pleased to announce that APAMSA is rewarding the following grants for Hepatitis B related projects:

• 3 Gold Screening Chapter Grants of $1500 each
• 2 Silver Screening Chapter Grants of $1000 each
• 1 Bronze Screening Chapter Grant of $750
• 6 Educational Event Grants (to host talks on Hepatitis B) of $250 each

Sample Education Projects

• Invite guest speakers: hepatologists, GIs, public health experts,patients and/or families affected by HBV
• Hold educational seminars at large community festivals, community clinics, supermarkets, restaurants, refuge centers, and organizations targeting high-risk patients
• Hold educational seminars in dorms, classrooms, health fairs and churches
• Conduct hepatitis B knowledge assessment surveys
• Organize educational classes where participants become certified to educate others on hepatitis

Sample screening events

• Provide free screenings and/or vaccinations at street fairs
• Incorporate a hepatitis clinic at a community clinic or as a mobile clinic traveling to the underserved communities
• Work with the Red Cross or local health department in implementing hepatitis screenings
