Scottsdale, Ariz., July 25, 2007 – Tiromed LLC, an international online knowledge network for physicians and student doctors, and the Asian Pacific American Medical Student Association (APAMSA) have formed an online affiliation. Tiromed.com has provided APAMSA a customized and interactive webpage within the Tiromed website, which will allow APAMSA visibility among a large network of medical students. The APAMSA webpage on Tiromed.com is www.tiromed.com/apamsa. By visiting this APAMSA webpage, Tiromed members can learn more about APAMSA, become members of APAMSA and promote APAMSA within the Tiromed community.
Tiromed co-founder Max Sanel had this to say about the newly launched affiliation, “APAMSA is a large, unified and proactive association focused on community, diversity and public health. We are truly excited to share their mission and vision with all members of Tiromed. Similarly, we look forward to APAMSA’s guidance in our ongoing efforts to build functionality that will facilitate their goals, influence and outreach onsite.”
For APAMSA, Tiromed.com presents a compelling new platform. “It is an innovative network connecting the diverse medical community,” says APAMSA president Kathy Lee.
Medical Associations traditionally recruit via conventional marketing practices, where paid staff promotes the organization to a targeted group. However, with Tiromed, viral promotional activity occurs because the users themselves display Medical Association "badges" on their individual profiles. The result is an environment where associations achieve exposure through user-driven support.
