We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, nonpartisan organization and the only National organization with more than 80 chapters nationwide and representing nearly 15,000 Asian Pacific American (APA) medical students. APAMSA is dedicated to improving the health and well being of the APA community.

Recently, we were nationally recognized for our excellence in service by Jimmy Lee, the Executive Director of the White House Initiative on Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders.

This year, some of our most visible projects this year include our National Hepatitis B project, "APAMSA Fights to Break the Hepatitis B Cycle!" Asian Americans account for more than 80% of all Hepatitis B patients in the United States. We are dedicated to educating, screening, and immunizing the Asian American Community against Hepatitis B. Most recently we have partnered with an exciting media campaign called HepB.TV. This media awareness campaign, hosted by the famed HIV researcher David Ho, is bringing together the medical community, film makers, and celebrities promote Hepatitis B awareness in the Asian American community.

In addition to our Hepatitis B project, our National Marrow Donor Program, dedicated to increasing Asian American bone marrow donors, saves lives!! Our many other awareness initiatives include educating the APA community about Diabetes, Cancer in the APA community, Mental health in the APA community and much, much more.

We thank you for your supporting our future physicians and health care leaders!
