  • AAMC - American Association of Medical Colleges. The organization that is in charge of the medical education system. Administers the MCATS and organizes applications to medical schools. Also has resources on helping aspiring doctors learn about the field.
  • SDN - The health profession student rumor mill. Pre-meds can find lots of gossip and unofficial information on various subjects here. Its also interesting to look at the Medical Student and Resident Sections.
  • MDapplicants.com - A site that tracks the statistics of people who applied to various medical schools. A good site to answer the question of "what are my chances."
  • NIH Summer Research Program - A fairly non-competitive program for students to do some research at the heart of the biomedical world.
  • NSF REU -  Another farily non-competitive summer research program from the NSF.
  • MDPhD Org - A great website for some down to earth advice about MD PhD's and medicine in general.
