APAMSA Hepatitis B Jade Outreach Program
We are introducing a new program called the APAMSA Hepatitis B Jade Outreach Program. Students who successfully complete the program will be placed on the APAMSA Hepatitis B Jade Honor Roll. The purpose of this program is to encourage students to actively learn about hepatitis B and engage in hepatitis B outreach. To kick off the program, we will be raffling off the latest generation of the iPad to one student on the APAMSA Hepatitis B Jade Honor Roll at the end of this school year if there are 125 or more participants. If there are less than 125 participants the winner will be able to choose between an iPod touch or Kindle Fire. In order to be on the APAMSA Hepatitis B Jade Honor Roll students must complete all of the requirements and submit appropriate documentation.
Requirements
- Sign the APAMSA Hepatitis B Pledge
- Either one of the following (Students who fulfill both a and b will receive 1 extra raffle entry. Students cannot get credit for both a and b for the same event.):
- a. Volunteer at a hepatitis B outreach event.
- b. Organize a hepatitis B outreach event.
- Complete the APAMSA Hepatitis B Quiz.
Eligibility
- Must be an APAMSA or a Pre-Med APAMSA Student.
- Must be registered in the new APAMSA Membership Database.
- Must complete all of the requirements and submit all supporting documentation by June 1, 2012 to enter the 2012 Raffle. For the 2012 Raffle, credit will be given for requirements completed from June 1, 2011 to June 1, 2012; however, appropriate documentation must be supplied for the submission to count.

Volunteer at a Hepatitis B Outreach Event in the Community
The event can be a hepatitis B education, vaccination, or screening event. The event must be for community members, not students.
Supporting Documentation
- Official flyer or volunteer recruitment email for the event.
- Photograph of you at the event that clearly shows that it is a hepatitis B outreach event.
- Completion of the Volunteer Documentation Form.

Organize a Hepatitis B Outreach Event
It can be a hepatitis B education, vaccination, or screening event for community members or a hepatitis B education event for your fellow students.
Supporting Documentation

APAMSA Hepatitis B Quiz
You must pass the APAMSA Hepatitis B Quiz to demonstrate competency in the area of hepatitis B. The quiz is to be completed after the other requirements have been fulfilled. To prepare for the quiz we recommend that you read the Hepatitis B FAQs for Health Professionals on the CDC Website.
The APAMSA Hepatitis B Quiz is not yet available. We will post it as soon as it is available.
Although the APAMSA Hepatitis B Quiz is not yet available, you may get a head start on the other requirements. After completion of all the requirements your name will be placed on the APAMSA Hepatitis B Jade Honor Roll. The raffle will take place in June of 2012.
