Join us Monday, August 25th to Sunday, August 31st for a week of connection, learning, and collaboration across the APAMSA community! Each branch will host a unique virtual event—whether it’s a trivia night, advocacy workshop, or professional seminar—open to all members of any level.

Join our External Affairs Branch for a friendly game of trivia that explores various aspects of Asian America, Native Hawaiian, & Pacific Islander (AANHPI) history, geography, and culture.

Healing Circle presented by Advocacy Branch
Join our Advocacy Branch for a relaxing hour of self-care and community connection. Bring your own scented candles, face masks, and your favorite calming vibes as we unwind together, share stories, and recharge our spirits. Take a break, destress, and heal with us.

A Conversation with Dr. Jhemon Lee presented by Strategy Branch
Join our Strategy Branch for a fun, informal conversation featuring Dr. Jhemon Lee, one of the original founders of APAMSA and currently a radiologist at UCI Health. This is a unique opportunity to connect with a trailblazer in AANHPI medical student leadership, ask candid questions, and gain insights into your own journey in medicine.

How to Start a Screening Event presented by Health Affairs Branch
Join our Health Affairs Branch to learn about how to host a successful general health screening, bone marrow drive, hepatitis screening, and skin or breast cancer screening in your community. We’ll share valuable resources and answer commonly asked questions about the planning process and grant applications.

What is Intersectionality? presented by Diversity Branch
Join our Diversity Branch to briefly unpack the concept of intersectionality and the various identities we hold. This quick workshop will include a journaling activity to reflect on the diversity within ourselves.

Paging Drs. Sarah and Sean Pirkle presented by Communications Branch
Orthopedic residents and social media stars Dr. Sarah Pirkle and Dr. Sean Pirkle discuss life in residency, career exploration, and Sean’s recent medical memoir. This event is a must-attend for students curious about leveraging social media, surgical subspecialties, writing/publishing, and navigating training as AANHPI physicians.
We are giving away one signed copy of "Somewhere in Between" by Dr. Sean Pirkle to a lucky participant!

Discord Game Night & APAMSA Info Session presented by Membership Branch
Join our Membership Branch for an introduction to National APAMSA and Game Night on Discord (with giveaways, including tickets to our conferences!). We will introduce National APAMSA’s new professional development initiative, APAMSA Specialty Student Sections (APAMSA-SSS), and end the night with virtual games.
