Advocacy
The APAMSA Advocacy Branch is committed in engaging health professional students in issues that affect our communities.
As the Advocacy Branch of the only national organization representing Asian Pacific American medical students, we seek to amplify the voices of minority communities. We provide chapters with the resources, opportunities, and networks to translate the principles of health equity and social justice into political action.
Questions? Contact the Advocacy Branch Director at advocacy@apamsa.org.
Health Policy
We work to raise awareness of health disparities, facilitate participation in advocacy at the medical student level, provide a space to discuss problems of inequity in healthcare, as well as support policies, and organize resources that broaden access to care for our communities.
AANHPI Advocacy
The Asian American, Native Hawaiian, & Pacific Islander (AANHPI) Advocacy division’s mission is to help our AANHPI medical students thrive, whether that is advocating with student leaders for medical schools to create a more inclusive training environment or creating spaces for trainees to voice their hopes and concerns.
APAMSA's Official Statements
Our rapid response process enables APAMSA National Board to respond as an organization to national events through public statements or direct calls to action.
