James Bautista, Professional Development Director (Osteopathic)
James is a second-year medical student at the Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine (TCOM) in Fort Worth, Texas. Born in the Philippines, he moved to the United States with his family at the age of four and grew up in both Tennessee and Texas. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology from Angelo State University in 2024.
Inspired by his mother’s experiences as a nurse, James was motivated to pursue a career in medicine as an osteopathic physician. He has been actively involved in APAMSA, previously serving as his local chapter President, and is excited to now serve as the Internal Medicine Student Representative and Osteopathic Professional Development Director.
After graduating from medical school, James is interested in pursuing a career in Dermatology or Internal Medicine, with possible subspecialty interests in Hematology/Oncology or Allergy/Immunology. Outside of medicine, he enjoys playing the violin and tennis, reading novels and manhwas, embroidering, and cooking and baking Filipino dishes.
