Rudy Ji, Health Equity Committee Member

Rudy Ji is currently a second-year medical student at the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB). He was born in Galveston, Texas to immigrant parents from China and graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a B.S.A. in Biochemistry and a B.A. in Sociology. After college, he worked as a research assistant at UTMB during his gap year and remains involved in both clinical studies and animal model research. He has spent the past year involved in UTMB’s local APAMSA chapter and currently serves as Vice President. He is passionate about advancing research and improving care for AANHPI populations. Outside of school, he enjoys weightlifting, playing board games, and playing tennis and pickleball. After graduation, he aims to pursue a career in orthopedics, anesthesiology, or radiology.
