Kamusta! I’m Reina, and I’m thrilled to join APAMSA’s Health Equity Committee this year. During my gap year in dementia care and research, I’ve seen how chronic illnesses, such as cardiovascular disease and diabetes, impact cognition and aging in AANHPI communities. I’m passionate about tackling these comorbidities through advocacy and preventative care to empower our communities and improve daily quality of life. When I’m not thinking about the brain, I enjoy singing, curating playlists, and doing skincare.
